Hey I'm not anti develpment by any means but this is ridiculous. This a photo of the Collins Lake Resort Development. The area not developed is pretty much all wetland. Photo 10/30/2005
Take out half of these buildings and you might have a reasonable amount of development. As it is now, can you imagine any of the condo owners trying to have a party or even just a few guests? Where do they park?? The buildings have no overhangs to get the snow away from the buildings and no protection on the decks to keep snow off or from hitting people. No provision for snow storage for snow removed from driveways. Remaining vegetation is being severely impacted by snow pushed onto wetlands through trees. Snow from roofs will fill in the driveways overnight.
Shame awards to Clackamas County for allowing this
not doing adequate design reviews as required by Mt Hood Community Plan for Government Camp and MRR zoning restrictions. Kirk Hanna for "you know better than to do that" . Junki Yoshida for buying into the whole thing. But seeing what he is doing down on Stark st. makes me think he's just in it for the money and could care less how it looks. ONRC, where are you when we need you?? 1000 friends of Oregon, is this just a salvage site for development since it was just "Government Camp" before all this happened? Mt Hood Meadows, for giving up on their best deal at Cooper Spur. This thing will be a bad legacy for all of the above and the people who love this place.
